Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive Yangon & Yangon Full day tour
Meet on arrival at Yangon International airport by our driver. Our sightseeing features Yangon downtown area and from there we walk along the Pansodan street which has many large colonial buildings which are still in use. It is also interesting to see the sidewalk markets including those selling old books and magazines dated from the 1960’s up to the present.
In the afternoon we will go to the famous Scott Market (the market closes every Monday and public holiday), a sprawling complex built in 1926 and noted for its variety of handicrafts and other items which provides an excellent opportunity for a shopping spree. And then continue to colossal reclining Buddha Chaukhtatkyi, and Chinatown in the downtown area where we can see interesting and exotic products for sale at sidewalk markets and also see some small Chinese temples.
Finish our tour with a visit to the awe-inspiring Shwedagon Pagoda which towers over all of Yangon. It is perhaps the most beautiful pagoda complex in all of Asia and is one sight that no visitor to Myanmar should miss.

Day 02: Yangon-Kyaikhtiyo
Early morning drive to Kyaikhtiyo in the Mon state, site of the famous ‘Golden Rock’. It is a large boulder, which appears delicately balanced, supposedly by the assistance of a well placed hair of the Buddha, on the edge of a cliff near the top of a mountain. It is one of the most revered Buddhist shrines. We take a local truck from the base camp to the beginning of the trail from where it is a 45-minute walk to the top. Enjoy Golden Rock sightseeing which includes spectacular mountain views and pilgrims at the Golden Rock.
