Here is Cuong - Our leader guide. He had more than 10 years experience of Kayaking in Halong bay. He's also a local man so he know this bay clearly like his hands.
The First lesson: You can see Cuong is showing to our trainees the Halong bay maps. The first lesson is navigation in the bay, it's very difficult with our kayaking trainnee because most of them are "up town boy " , they could speak English fluently but this is the first time they come to Halong Bay.
So now, We have an Kayking Expert here !!!. This cameraman is very famous with Kayking in the South East Asia. May be you know his man. He is John Gray. We invited him come to Vietnam to training our young kayaking guides. He is filming our trainees so that when we see his film we can know who is the best trainnee. Hey John, thank you for your work.
Lesson 2nd: Swimming
John is teaching our trainees how to swim correctly on the sea. It's incredible if a kayaking guide can not swim. For the save of our clients and travelers, every kayaking guides can swim at least 200 meters on the sea and dive at least more than 1 minute. Lesson 3rd: On the sea In fact, Our trainees - all of them are still students at Hanoi. They will have the Diploma and BA of Tourism next year. They are very strong and interest in Kayaking so much. And, in the future they will be your Kayaking guide.
<<< He's one of the best trainee. Of course, at the beginning it's very difficult with them but day after day, they will become the best Kayaking guide in Halong bay. John very like our trainees. He compared our Vietnamese guides with Thai guides and he say our guides have a fast reception more than Thai guides.
These guides are trying to get our the cave in up stream situation. Practice make them proffessional. Lesson 4th: Let's save our world ! Truthly, Halong bay is becoming dirty and more and more garbages. Because a huge of amount travelers come here, and un_well educated local people who is living at the bay.
Our trainees is collecting the garbages.that may be the ruin fishing net, tin boxes, plastic water bottles, plastic bags (a lot of) ... We have a special game. The winner is the one who collect a largest garbages. And this is the winner :) . <<< but the smell is not good .... :p Ending the lesson: After a hard day, we came back to the junk and had a nice sleep.
